I sat with several clients including Qatari citizens for their own villas such as Al Madaadi brothers, Masoud Al Amri ..etc and other clients that are engineers such as the engineers responsible for Hotel Rufaa construction.

The Counter Emphasis
The concept is to accentuate the appearance of the counter because the entrance of the hotel wasn't double heighted or uniquely designed from the rest of the spaces. Thus, a contrast in material, design and lighting was used to isolate the space and make it as unique and catchy as possible to the naked eye.
Hotel Rufaa Conceptual Cafeteria Design
Repetition of a singular element
The concept was to repeat a single element at the entire cafeteria space and let it define the space. Square shapes are placed on top of black mirrors for the user to experience the concept of distant reflection; a reflection of himself that is not obvious; a reflection that he could feel but not get bothered by.
